The new owners are Brian McMurray, his wife Nicole and Nicole's parents, Susan and Alan Weber. They have formed a majority woman owned company and will continue to do business as Magic Hour Lighting & Grip. By way of introduction, Brian is the product of 15 years of TV experience. He has worked as a news photographer, field technician, live truck operator, editor, promotional video producer and sports producer. He has been employed by WBBM-TV (CBS), Chicago, CNN, Atlanta and most recently, WPLG-TV (ABC) in Miami. Nicole was a Special Education Teacher in Chicago and Miami, prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise their daughter, Alexis Brooke (age 2), the light of their lives. Susan and Alan are veterans of 15 years of successful operation of their computer products sales company, Abacus Supply in Atlanta, Ga.
Although Magic Hour's ownership has changed hands, you'll be glad to know that all of the people you rely on, will be staying with the company. Merrick, Derek, Ricky, and Omar will continue to provide the excellent service you've come to expect from our firm.
New Employees
Geoffrey Ingalls is a veteran of the music, video, and film industry with
over 25 years of experience. He has worked on dozens of multi-camera
projects, from corporate events to sports and concerts for clients including
E! Entertainment, CBC Radio, The Miami Heat, The Florida Marlins, BBC, The
Miami Dolphins, NFL Football, and live concerts with Bon Jovi and Roberta
Flack. He will be joining Magic Hour as our office manager.
Derek Whittington is a grip who has worked on many local productions
including "Bart got a room" and numerous music videos in south Florida. He
joins Magic Hour as a warehouse technician.
